Finding your #GlowUp
When we think of the phrase "glow up", the first thing we tend to think about is our ugly middle school days. When everything is starting to grow, your face was full of pimples, and as a girl you wore lipgloss as your make up. If you grew up when I did, most girls in my school wore those big colorful bracelets, suspenders, glasses with no lenses, and cargo shorts. If you did not have this on, you wasn't popping.
Anyways, the phrase "glow up" has always meant a physical change from ok to daaamnnn. But on today, I would like to make the phrase "glow up" into something mental and maybe even spiritual. I think "glow up" can also mean that you are changing your way of thinking about life. Maybe your "glow up" could be the way you deal with your relationships whether that is siblings, parents, or siginficant others. Your "glow up" could be that you decide to go to school or back to school to further your education. Whatever you want to achieve in life could also be define as a "glow up".
I am glad the phrase "glow up" started off as a positive thing considering it has a physical meaning but lets also make it a mindset. Let your definition of a "glow up" have your own personal meaning. Yes, we all went through those ugly stages in middle school and now we don't wear areopostale from head to toe. Let your glow up also be a mental, and spiritual thing too.
